Still Alive Panel – Representation and Reality

JOIN US for a panel discussion this Saturday 9th Aug at 2pm in the Stanley Street Gallery.

The panel will address the broad disparities between the reality and representation of refugees in Australia.

Guest speakers will include:

- Asif Haideri, a refugee spokesperson and Refugee Art Project participant.

- Oliver Laughland, a reporter from The Guardian.

- Elizabeth Elliot, a paediatrician involved in the recent Inquiry into Children in Detention on Christmas Island.

- Thomas Wales, an Aboriginal elder and spokesperson for the Thanakwith people who befriended asylum seekers and refugees in the Sherger detention centre.
