Mona Moradveisi is a young woman from Iran who came to Australia with her mother and sister in 2012. She has been a regular participant in our art workshop for women of a refugee background at the Pop-Up Parramatta Artists Studios since 2013. She studied architecture in Iran and has created a zine of her arwork, photography and sculpture.
These drawings were made for the Utopia project, which is a large collaborative drawing – to be printed as wallpaper – made by refugee and non-refugee artists. Mona is a principle artist in this enormous and challenging new work!
