In the Parramatta Artists Studios, the Refugee Art Project are conducting an art workshop for women of a refugee background who live in the Sydney area. So far our workshop has involved the participation of women from such countries as Iran, Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria and Etheopia. The class has provided a wonderful opportunity for the women to tell their stories and express themselves, develop new art-making skills, create friendships and build a general sense of confidence.
