Sequential Art/Comics

Comics allow us to tell stories in a way that seems especially important given that journalists are not allowed into Australian detention centres, making it impossible to depict, interview or in any way humanize asylum seekers for the Australian public. It is our hope that these short, to-the-point, comic vignettes will provide at least a grain of truth in a dark, rolling sea of misconception.

These comics were made in workshops at Fairfield High School in Western Sydney. They were printed in the Refugee Art Project zine#7.
